My Lolo Gorio A message Born on Christmas Eve in 1940, somewhere in Balamban, a municipality in the Province of Cebu. He was a farmer and hardworking father to his seven children. His wife, Rosario was an entrepreneur.  My lolo, Gregoria Piodos Laya is my idol and an inspiration to all of us. His stories invite us to dream and soar higher to reach the summit of our aspirations. In his old age, his alive and kicking. (CJSL)

Pagsalubong sa Bagong Taon hitik sa saya at pag-asa ALABEL, Sarangani Province (Enero 01, 2020) - Naging mapayapa at makabuluhan ang pagtatapos ng taong 2019 sa Pamilyang Laya. Sabik ang mag-anak upang salubungin ng puno ng pag-asa ang bagong taon 2020.  Ilang oras bago sumapit ang pagpapalit ng taon ay tumungo muna sa simbahan ang pamilya. Isang pasasalamat sa mga biyayang natanggap ang lulan sa mga panalangin. Maingay ang paligid. Hawak-hawak ang takip ng mga kaldero ay nagmistulang digmaan ng halakhak at sigaw ang kapaligiran. Kumulay ang kalangitan dahil sa mga pailaw at paputok sa himpapawid. Labis ang kagalakan sa kanilang puso sa kabila ng mga hamon at pagsubok na kanilang kinaharap sa natapos na taon. #
